About the event
Les Salon et Chanson, is a lovely tradition in the "New Orleans Way" of honoring our French roots. The Salon: Friends, neighbors, and visitors to the city gather to hear an interesting speaker, listen to beautiful music, and imbibe tasty local treats and beverages.

Liz Williams is the founder of the National Food & Beverage Foundation which includes the Southern Food & Beverage Museum, Southern Food & Beverage (SoFAB) Research Center, the, Museum Of The American Cocktail, the Boyd Library, the National Culinary Heritage Register, and a partnership with Tulane University to develop the university’s food studies program.She will lead a discussion of New Orleans’ Italian heritage and her most recent book, 2022, “Nana's Creole Italian Table“- Recipes and Stories from Sicilian New Orleans", a cookbook about the Sicilian community in New Orleans.
